ShowLaunch Main

Request feedback at end of show Tweet/facebook/blog/page for each show for SEO and participation and marketing. But i don't think we are marketing shows as standalone products. So perhaps these Tweet/Facebook/blog/page features filter back to the user's main screen during show viewing instead of taking them to a separate page interface to watch the show?

Suggestion box
Will have a "Pandora like" ability to categorize shows and further refine them to an individual through likes and dislikes. This should recognize the pattern that some people prefer shows similar in nature and some people prefer polar diversity in their entertainment.
Scanning ability (because many folks simply enjoy channel surfing). This could either surf shows through random or through user preference (pandora like). Surfing cuts through shows at midpoints, just like surfing network TV
This page/site is centric to the user-like a programmable TV-not like a general website you just log in to. It should have a mildly customizable layout, a show list like Tivo. It is much more like a video games consol than like Hulu or YouTube. Users don't want to drown from the firehose of show options like our competitors. They want to control the flow through structure. With Network TV, folks control what they want to want, but have no control over advertising- we'll give them total control. With Cable, folks complain they have a zillion channels and nothing they want to watch- we'll help them narrow it down. We'll cater to folks who are aggressive in deciding what they want to watch, and to the indecisive. Maybe we have a channel option titled "Can't decide what to watch?" and play a game to narrow their mood into a selection.
Maybe the show suggestion feature should only appear at the beginning through a series of questions to determine thier initial preference. The show suggestion feature then comes into play organically through commercials shown during requested shows.
experienced viewers reach a landing page with requested channels organically grown from their preference picks. They then decide what they're in the mood to watch and pick the channel accordingly.
This page does not require a Login? If not, we should bug guest users through repeat ads and ads recommending them to create an account to manage advertising. How does a login become automatic for iTVs and smaller devices- Cookie? Stored IP addres? Otherwise we could simply require a login from the beginning so folks would expect it...Pandora Radio is very popular, generally free, and requires a type of login.
Should have an ablilty (through login?) to switch users. People have very different interests and many share computers, iTVs, etc.
Parental controls option needed. This can screen content further for concerned parents. This can also regulate and track time spent watching shows. It might report back stats on what was watched and for how long?

  2. Fee based Only = zero ads/commercials
